Dear Esteemed LSANC Community,

As we embrace the third week of July 2025, the Liberian Students Association in Northern Cyprus (LSANC) proudly reflects on a series of impactful accomplishments that celebrate our resilience, elevate opportunity, and foster unity. With Liberia’s Independence Day approaching, our mission remains rooted in building a legacy of leadership, empowerment, and shared pride among Liberian students across Northern Cyprus.

1. LSANC First Independence Ball & Awards Night – A Historic Celebration

This week, the Executive Committee officially launched the LSANC Independence Ball & Awards Night 2025—a landmark celebration scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Yahali Restaurant & Cafe, Lefkosia.

Event Overview:
• Date: Saturday, July 26, 2025
• Time: 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM
• Venue: Yahali Restaurant & Cafe, Kucuk Kaymakli, Lefkosia
• Dress Code: Formal or Traditional Attire

Event Highlights:
• Awards Ceremony: Honoring excellence, service, and leadership across the student body.
• Certificates of Honor: Presented to all 2025 summer graduates from universities across Northern Cyprus.
• Certificates of Appreciation: Acknowledging contributors, volunteers, and partners.
• Cultural Performances: Showcasing traditional music, dance, and storytelling.
• Exquisite Dining: Customized experiences based on ticket tiers (Regular, VIP, VVIP).

Ticket Information:
Tickets are now available through the Secretariat office or you can contact any EC member to purchase your ticket. All Liberians and international guests are warmly invited to join us in celebrating unity, excellence, and heritage.

2. Empowering Economic Opportunity: LSANC Job Initiative Program

We celebrate the outstanding contribution of Mr. Charles Harrison Teah Jr., who helped secure jobs for four Liberian students this week through our Job Initiative Program.

Impact Highlights:
• 40+ students have benefited from this initiative since its launch.
• The program continues to support financial independence, legal status stability, and professional development.

A Call to Action:
We encourage every one of you to support the program by offering job opportunities. Contact the president or any EC member if you’d like to contribute to this transformational work.

3. Community Outreach & Graduate Recognition

To ensure broad recognition and inclusion, LSANC launched a widespread outreach campaign to prepare for the Independence Ball:

• Letters of Appreciation & Invitation were dispatched to:
Graduates
Institutions
Contributors and partners
International collaborators

• Graduate Recognition Portal: An online form is available for all graduates to submit their details for personalized certificate printing and recognition at the Ball.

4. Cornerstone Programs – Strengthening Our Foundation

Passport Renewal Support
Students can now begin their passport renewal process locally—minimizing costs, stress, and travel.

Student Census Campaign
Accurate data collection is underway to support advocacy, planning, and strategic engagement. Every student is encouraged to participate by completing the census form available online.

Business Promotion Campaign
This ongoing effort highlights Liberian-owned student businesses. Submit your business via our secretariat office for free exposure.

From launching the Independence Ball to expanding job opportunities and supporting community-wide services, LSANC continues to deliver measurable, people-centred leadership.
